Overview
The Village of New Square operates the Tremp, a fixed-route municipal bus service providing accessible, ADA-compliant transportation throughout the Village. The Tremp is supported in part by New York State Transportation Operating Assistance (STOA), and riders are required to pay the applicable fare for each trip to help sustain the service. The Village is committed to providing reliable, affordable transit for residents.

Routes & Schedule
The Tremp operates two routes, each starting at the Square Center Mall (Pineapple Supermarket):
Route A
Runs every 20 minutes, departing at :00, :20, and :40 past the hour.
Route B
Runs every 20 minutes, departing at :10, :30, and :50 past the hour.
Together, Routes A and B provide service approximately every 10 minutes along shared portions of the route. Buses stop only at designated Tremp-signed stops — please wave to signal the driver, and wait on the correct side of the street.

Fares may be paid with exact change or Tremp tickets. Ticket books can be purchased at Village Hall during regular office hours, or at the following locations:
- Pineapple Supermarket
- New Square Supermarket
- Medanim Supermarket
- Kol Tov (Beis Medrash basement)
Coming soon: a reloadable Tremp Rider Card, which can be funded and swiped on board.
